Retention for Higher Education


Most adult students pursuing a master’s degree need support. On behalf of our university partners, JMH advisors and counselors serve as a consistent support system for students throughout the program, regardless of performance.

JMH communicates with students via phone and email prior to and during each course. Our goal is to understand how they are performing in the program and how they feel about the workload, student-teacher interactions, and course content. JMH uses software to track a student’s progress through the class and works with faculty to address issues of engagement or academic concerns when they arise.

JMH’s business model compensates us on the lifetime value of each student, so it’s in our interest to maintain high retention rates. This also improves the student experience and strengthens the university brand. JMH works closely with the university to help identify students with lackluster performance who may need “above and beyond” attention.
